Paying the appropriate homage to Kierkegaard, we begin with this excerpt from Concluding Unscientific Postscripts:
“The Truth is a snare: you cannot have it without being caught. You cannot have the Truth in such a way that you catch it, but only in such a way that it catches you.”
This will be the main focus of this blog. In an attempt to escape the usual mindless chatter that permeates most conversations, this blog will endeavor to deal with the important things in life.
In general, this blog will be considering various philosophical positions, the reasoning in different religions, political perspectives, societal conceptions, the implications of mathematics, and the nature of the Truth in all areas.
A large part of this will be the systematic shooting down of all illogical, reactionary, contradictory, and ill-reasoned arguments in these areas.
This blog believes in Truth, and will alternatively look for it, question it, and defend it, before finally being humbled by it.

Very nice site you have here, Zachary. Your blog is an oasis of sanity in the sea of frivolity that is the world-wide web, so if you don’t mind, I’m linking to you.
Interesting article on College. And too bad your article was limited on space. I, as a mother of 2 who went through the college fiasco and one that is still in the zoo, have a little more cinical view of college and “the business of college”. 2 of my 3 had to change majors just to graduate. And it wasn’t because of bad grades either. And looks as though the third will have to go an extra year and a half to accomplish his major. Why? Some of it because somehow the college of choice didn’t manage to have classes available (at all) at the time when they required it. And of course they couldn’t take the other classes because the ones that were not available for another 3 semesters, were prerequisites.
This is just the begininngs of my experiences. I have consulted with other students and parents and have come to the conclusion that all my notes and stories need to be put to book and internet. I think it is only fair for the public one and all to know the real truths in order to make an “educated” decision on education.
